Near my workplace there's an unusual blue statue fenced in at Burnside’s Engineered Wetland Project. Details about the statue are sparse online, but a now-vanished newspaper article said it was created by Sandra Patterson out of soda bottles around 18 years ago.
The surrounding park was once apparently a carefully constructed one with bridges, picnic tables, and several kilometers of trails. Now it is in disrepair and when I visited on my lunch break I had to make my way through thorny bushes and leap over streams.
