Celestine and I made this pathetic, slushy snow person yesterday.
We didn't have a full quorum for D&D tonight, but I put on my Dungeons & Dragons socks and we played Betrayal at Baldur's Gate for a taste of the game. We returned some eggs to a red dragon and then played some Smash Up. It wasn't the birthday D&D I had been looking forward to, but it was so nice to play with old friends.
@dona thank you!
@elenlaw@vivaldi.net thank you!

In 2009 I moved from Halifax to Waterloo in Ontario. My mother had just been diagnosed with cancer. The relationship I had with the person I moved to stay with fell apart. It became a liminal time for me.
That same year Bike for Three! released More Heart Than Brains and it became the soundtrack for that time for me. It was the album that I listened to more than any other that year. I walked the strange, flat city with that music in my ears so many times.
This week's episode of It's Storytime with Wil Wheaton is a reading of "The Sort" by Thomas Ha. It's a touching, poignant short science fiction story that Wil delivered so well.
