About 10 years ago my friend Matthew ran the Halifax Casual Gaming Federation at Robert Street Social Centre, and we played board games together with a bunch of rad folks. He put together a zine with writeups for all the games we played in 2012 and I contributed one for Carcassonne, which is still my favourite board game. Due to showing up so often, I ended up winning the federation championship.

A few years back I condensed my board game collection significantly and recently I've been doing some reorganizing ahead of probably giving away some games that don't spark joy for me. Some of the joy-inducing bits I took out were these dice from HeroQuest. My original dice have a lot of fading so I had some new ones 3d printed.

Condensing Board Games
I love board, card, roleplaying and other tabletop games, but they are terribly packaged; the boxes are full of wasted space whether as plastic inserts or just air. The lack of uniformity in boxes makes them a pain to store too. Paper books are so bulky, heavy and hard to manage. It's all unsustainable if space is precious.
