Marvel's Squirrel Girl is one of the most fun and lovable characters in comics. Ryan North and Erica Henderson redefined Squirrel Girl and injected a playful spin on comics that was desperately needed at Marvel in their The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl run. Squirrel Girl now serves as a great way to jump into Marvel stories in many different media.

I loved the first issue of History of the Marvel Universe. The second issue continues on through the 1900s, presenting the fictional events tied to WWI, WWII and the cold war. The art is so, so good in this issue, but the stories, told so quickly, could have used much more care and updating to impart a better understanding of the history they depict and to reframe stories

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
I was late to seeing Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse because I was traveling while it was in theatres, but even after hearing so many glowing reviews of it, it still exceeded my expectations when I watched it today. The characters were perfectly translated from comic to film, the visuals were inventive, and the soundtrack was impressive.
