Katie Rowe has released four episodes of Explore the Lore, fun explorations of folklore from here in Nova Scotia, on CBC. Each episode is accompanied by wonderful illustrations by Bee Stanton.
The themed episodes cover witches, sea monsters, fairies, and sasquatch.

Dartmouth has some fantastic murals and this is another of the best. The puddle below the wall on the day I took this shot seems perfect.
This mural in Dartmouth was always a favourite of mine.
I read through the first volume of Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou tonight and fell completely in love with it. I'd read a fan translation a while back, but this version is a delight. It's a cozy slice of life comic with an ecological disaster looming in the background and a robot protagonist. I was surprised to see it was translated by a Nova Scotian, and that a conscious choice was made to present the Kanagawa dialect as a Nova Scotian one.
I grew up in the small community of Dean, here in Nova Scotia. Most of my paternal family lived in the area. In the local church hall framed bits of history can be found, like this one for the school.
