@apollo agreed!!! I’m more talking about the feel of this place. Google’s lack of longevity on supporting stuff is laughable.

@AaronCrocco I find the feel has been quite different for most of Mastodon's history. It has been much more of a slow burn for me (I made my own instance back in 2018), not the rapid adoption and engagement Google+ had. Within a year there I had a pretty wide reach and good engagement. It took until the past couple months for Mastodon to feel close to that.
